Uptown church, Antipolo City

It was an honor to be invited as the guest speaker for the Antipolo church's 14th year of Service to the Lord on Feb 21, 2007 with this year's theme of "Spiritual Growth."
Fourteen years ago american missionary John Long and family started to conduct Bible studies and worship service in Rizal area. Aside from the Long family, the pioneering members were Marivic Sacil, Dondon Buo and Bro. Arnel.

Then Eddie Poblete and family took charged when John and Sara Long went back to the States for good. Later on, Don Williams put up the WBS Office in the same area and together with his wife, Deanne and two lovely daughters, Anela and Alisha joined with the brethren in Antipolo City. When the church became bigger, the Williams together with Raj Buo, Jhun Ma and brethren from Pasig decided to plant another church. In November 1998, Cainta church was established.

Shown here is Bro. Lito Daracen, the minister of the Uptown church of Christ in Antipolo Rizal. For several years running he single-handedly carried the church where it is now, and of course with the help of Ranjee Samarista, youth minister and Sunday Bible teacher.
Bro. Lito, myself and an american retiree posed for photo op.

Another photo op for us courtesy of Ranjee Samarista, who took the picture.
