Bogtong & Guinobatan Dental Missions, March 16-19, 2007

Three man team, led by dentists Lani Palaypayon (Midtown church, Baguio City), Gina Catalan with Sonny (Cainta Rizal church of Christ) conducted the 1-day dental clinic in Bogtong and half-a-day after Sunday worship service in Guinobatan, Albay. Seen in the picture are the church leaders of Bogtong namely Jojo delos Reyes, Jerome, Jason and the MARCH mission team.

Jason leading the charge in singing as the eager folks of Bogtong started to queue 30 minutes ahead of clinic schedule. The clinic site is the same worship place where the people of Bogtong congregate during Sundays. Almost 200 children and adults were treated, served and given medicines and vitamins. Fifty persons signed up for Home Bible Study and around 30 persons gave permission for home visit.

For Lailani of Guinobatan, it took 2 dentists to extract her unrelenting tooth, 2 counselors as head-holder and assistant, (her original head-holder gave up on her) and a friend beside to comfort her.

The dental mission was sponsored by March for Christ, with the cooperation of Bogtong church and the assistance of Naga congregation led by Dino Roldan Sr., Jed Fuentes, the Hernandez couple, their young people, and sis. Eden Tulan of Angeles City who had secured the permit for the Guinobatan town plaza as the clinic venue.

The Guinobatan team took time to stop along the hi-way and pose for group photo behind the looming Mt. Mayon.
